OWEN SOUND BATHROOM RENOVATION | JCB and SONS
Owen Sound Bathroom Renovation | JCB & SONS. We had the opportunity this week to work on some friends of ours bathroom in a late 1970's home they recently purchased. It appeared the bathroom had been tampered with by the previous homeowner in an effort to improve the appearnce of the original bathroom. We removed all the bathroom fixtures, saving the new toilet our friends had just installed which was rocking because of a rotten subfloor and bad toilet flange.
The toilet was too close to the wall and awkward to use. We moved the main drain stack showing in this photo over 4" so that we could install the toilet at a normal distance to the adjacent wall.
Here you can see the new 5/8" plywood subfloor we installed with solid blocking to strengthen the floor for the new toilet flange we installed.
We reinsulated most of the bathroom with new Roxul insulation. We also installed new

West Grey Basement Renovation, Wiring, Insulation, and new Bathroom rough in | JCB and SONS. Winter has given us some time to tackle our own home and renovate our own very poorly finished basement. We decide to add an additional bathroom. Adding a
in our basement. This required removing the cement floor and excavating to install ABS drains and the tank. We also moved our sump pail while we were doing all of this work to a more suitable location.
We removed all the old drywall which was very poorly done and had some mildew because of the poor vapour barrier and things not being sealed properly
Here you can see the ice on our walls because of the improper insulation and vapour barrier.
For this we moved majority of our basement things to the garage, the remainder was moved to the middle for this portion of the job.
The pink fiberglass insulation in this picture would have provided an R-12 when it was originally installed. It was in very poor shape, and was even destroyed completely in places because of mice. You can see all their tunnel in the insulation here.
Andy Baker came from
Integrated Audio Visual and Event
to run
Networking cable, and he also installed speaker wire for our home theatre system.
Integrated Audio Visual and Event Management
created a network with a central hub that ties in our office space, our home theatre area, and our living room. We also ran conduit for any future connections that need to be made.

ERIN, ONTARIO KITCHEN RENOVATION IS COMPLETE | JCB and SONS
Erin Ontario kitchen renovation is complete | JCB & SONS. Dad (aka JCB) came and helped us set the new door jambs we made in the shop and hang the new solid Pine doors we finished in our shop. The trims and doors came to the job site after being sanded and 5 coats of finish completed really bring out the richness of the wood grain. JCB is mortising the new
latches in here.
The new Pine 6 Panel doors installed and trimmed!
Here are some pictures of the completed kitchen. We are making a custom made Hutch to go in the U shaped wall in the left of this picture. Stay tuned for that!
Once the Hutch is in we will be able to install the last of the baseboard on this U shaped wall that we built this custom
to hold our customers new painting. We had
The Old Barn Polished Stone Creations
make the beautiful stone sill for the niche.
We installed a beautiful Marble backslash in the new kitchen to really finish off the project!
We completely redid this extremely tiny 2 piece bathroom, including finding a very special hanger to mount this handmade mirror our customer recently brought back from her trip to Italy.
This used to be the workshop. We changed it into a mudroom entrance, adding a new closet, new shelving, new storage cabinet with counter top, and trimming out with new Pine Casing, Baseboard, new Laminate flooring, and new Lighting.
This is off the mudroom and was turned into a tack room for storing the customers saddles and blankets. She added a pull out couch to allow for guests staying if needed.
The green room below was given new
Casement Windows and Patio Door and all new Pine Casing and Baseboard. We also retrofitted the old Pot Lights with new trim kits and LED Lights.
